The Future of Airport Security

Thermal lie-detection
UK-based researchers claim to have developed a thermal lie-detection camera that can automatically spot a burning conscience. The thermal-imaging camera captures variations in facial temperature in response to questioning. "When someone is making something up on the spot, brain activity usually changes and you can detect this through the thermal camera," said professor Hassan Ugail, who leads the research.

Professor Byeong-chun Lee, who established his reputation in 2005 as the driving force behind the world's first ever dog clone, has bought a new breed of super-sniffers to South Korea's Incheon Airport. They may look like an ordinary pack of golden Labrador Retrievers, but these dogs are all genetically identical to "Chase," a dog whose legendary snout kept him top of Incheon's drug-detection rankings right up until his retirement in 2007.

Violent and inappropriate images have causes some Facebook users to disable their account or even switch over to a new social networking site.

Marking Period 1 Reflection

Marking period 1 had a lot of curriculum that enhanced my web 2.0 knowledge. I am starting to use google docs even more now that I realized how useful it is. There are a lot of features that I have discovered throughout the marking period such as creating surveys and even reading spreadsheets. I have also become familiar with blogging, despite the fact that I am new to it. There isn't much room for improvement, except for the fact that the weekly articles are often on the same topic, but important news is important news.

Weekend Vacation

This weekend I went on a college visit to the University of Rhode Island. I stayed there for two days and toured the college. URI is beautiful and the builidings they have there are structurally pleasing. The programs they have there interest me and that is why I went to visit.
